Managing Your Personal Information in Looki

Learn how to manage personal information in Looki, including available options for access, correction, deletion, and permission changes.

Privacy is not only about how information is protected. It is also about what you can ask a company to do with information connected to you.

Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have rights to access, correct, update, delete, transfer, or restrict the processing of your personal information. You may also be able to withdraw consent you previously gave. Looki provides control through its services and accepts formal privacy requests when you need broader help.

What you may be able to request

Privacy rights vary by location, but they may include the ability to:

  • Access your personal information: Ask what personal information Looki holds about you.
  • Correct or update information: Request changes when account or personal information is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Delete personal information: Ask Looki to delete information associated with you, subject to applicable legal requirements and exceptions.
  • Withdraw consent: Change your mind about processing that relies on your consent.
  • Restrict processing: Ask Looki to limit certain uses of your information when the legal conditions are met.
  • Request data portability: In some regions, ask for eligible information to be transferred to you or a designated third party.

The rights available to you depend on applicable law and the circumstances of the request.

Managing content and making a privacy request are different actions

Some information can be managed directly through Looki’s software controls. For example, you may be able to review, manage, or delete captured content.

A formal privacy request can cover a broader set of personal information, such as account details, service information, communications, or other records associated with your use of Looki.

Using an in-product content control and submitting a broader privacy request may apply to different categories of information. If you are unsure which information a particular control or request covers, you can contact Looki for clarification.

How to submit a request

You may be able to manage certain information through the Looki App or Looki’s online services. You can also submit a privacy request by emailing contact@looki.ai.

To help Looki understand your request, clearly state:

  • The type of request you are making
  • The email address connected to your Looki account
  • The product or service involved
  • Any specific information or time period relevant to the request

Do not send passwords, full payment card details, or unrelated sensitive information by email.

Why Looki may need to verify your identity

Privacy requests can involve sensitive account information. Before providing, changing, or deleting that information, Looki may ask for additional details to confirm that the request is legitimate and comes from the correct person.

The verification required will depend on the nature of the request and the information involved. In some circumstances, additional declarations may be legally required. If Looki has reason to suspect fraud or malicious activity, it may defer action until the request can be verified.

In locations where authorized agents are permitted, someone may be able to submit a request on your behalf. Looki may require the agent to confirm both their identity and their authority to act for you.

Are there limits to deletion and other requests?

Some requests may be limited when fulfilling them would interfere with another person’s rights, prevent Looki from providing a service you requested, or conflict with legal and regulatory obligations.

For example, certain information may need to be retained to meet legal or regulatory obligations. Where applicable, information that is no longer needed may be deleted or anonymized in accordance with Looki’s retention practices and legal obligations.

Looki states that people may exercise their privacy rights without discrimination. If you are not satisfied with the response, you may be able to submit a complaint to the relevant data protection regulator, depending on where you live.

Keep your privacy choices current

Privacy controls are most useful when you review them as your needs change. Check app permissions when enabling new features—including optional connections involving health and wellness data—review the content you keep, and contact Looki if an in-product control does not cover the request you want to make.

The Looki Privacy Policy provides the complete and current description of available rights, regional provisions, verification requirements, and contact information.
